Open your pod address and sign in as admin using the password you chose during pod setup. PikaPods supplies this initial account, so you do not need to repeat the upstream server installation wizard. Then add users and decide which workspaces they should access.

No. PikaPods sets up and runs Pydio Cells for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Pydio provides iOS and Android apps for accessing a running Cells server. For Windows, macOS or Linux synchronization, use CellsSync, not the older PydioSync client for Pydio 8. Connect using your pod's HTTPS address and a Cells account. See the client downloads and CellsSync setup guide; synchronization depends on compatible client versions and server connectivity.

Do not assume so. Pydio distinguishes its open-source Cells Home core from paid Connect and Enterprise editions. Features such as directory integration, enterprise SSO and compliance controls belong to those commercial offerings, not a generic Cells hosting plan. See the edition comparison. Desktop and mobile client availability does not mean an enterprise license or a separate office-editing service is included.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use Pydio Cells instead of Dropbox and Box. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

Both give you shared folders, previews, links and desktop and phone clients. Dropbox is a managed service, with storage and features set by plan. Pydio Cells organizes access through users and workspaces on your own instance. Its business features sit in paid modules, so compare those with what you use today.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
