1. Change the default administrator credentials by setting MICROBIN_ADMIN_USERNAME and MICROBIN_ADMIN_PASSWORD in the pod’s environment settings, then restart the pod.
2. Open /admin on your pod URL and confirm that the old admin and m1cr0b1n credentials no longer work.
3. Return to the main page, enter text or choose a file, review the expiration and privacy options, and save the upload.

No. PikaPods sets up and runs MicroBin for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Yes. Use the same pod URL in a phone, tablet or desktop browser to create an upload, and send recipients the resulting link. No separate native app is required. Syntax highlighting, raw text and QR sharing are available when enabled by the administrator; see the tagged feature overview.

Recipients can open a shared URL without a MicroBin account, subject to the upload’s password and visibility settings. No third-party storage or paste-service account is required. Administrators control whether uploads are public or require credentials; review the privacy guide before sharing sensitive material.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use MicroBin instead of Pastebin. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

Pastebin is a long-running public paste site. MicroBin is your own instance, which adds file uploads and URL shortening, along with expiry and visibility options. Nobody else's content shares your site, though you're responsible for who can upload to it, so review the access settings before sharing its address.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
