Vaultwarden Hosting

Managed Vaultwarden, ready in under a minute.

Vaultwarden is an open source password-management server that works with Bitwarden clients. Keep logins and other vault items together, access them through a web vault, browser extension or mobile app, and organize shared credentials with organizations and collections, so a household or small team can share only what each person needs.

It suits individuals, families and small groups who want to choose where their password server runs. Vaultwarden is an independent implementation of the Bitwarden API, with personal vaults, two-step login and password sharing. Support comes from the Vaultwarden community rather than Bitwarden, and mobile push sync needs extra server configuration and doesn't work with F-Droid builds, so it asks a little more of you than a managed password service.

It is an alternative to 1Password, LastPass and Dashlane.

Familiar clients

Connect Bitwarden browser extensions, desktop apps and mobile apps to your own server URL.

Shared collections

Two-step login

Add a second login factor with supported methods such as an authenticator app or a FIDO2 security key.

What users say about Vaultwarden

Summarized from public community discussions about Vaultwarden, not about PikaPods.

Control brings responsibility

Users value keeping control of their vault, while emphasizing that reliable access still needs attention; one user keeps using Vaultwarden for control, while another chooses hosted Bitwarden because they do not trust their own storage management (control experience, availability tradeoff).
