No. PikaPods sets up and runs Snipe-IT for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Yes. Snipe-IT has a mobile-friendly web interface, and barcode or QR-code labels can link to asset records. The official product page lists an official mobile app in beta and third-party clients; their costs and compatibility vary. Use the browser as the straightforward starting point, rather than assuming every third-party scanner app works with a hosted pod.

Configure an external SMTP service for password resets, checkout emails and alert delivery, following the mail configuration reference. PikaPods does not include an email-sending service; use a submission port such as 465 or 587, since port 25 is blocked. Your provider may charge separately. Optional integrations and mobile clients can also have their own accounts or fees.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use Snipe-IT instead of Asset Panda and Lansweeper. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

The core workflow is maintaining asset records through manual entry, CSV imports and check-in/check-out actions. Automatic updates require a configured integration or API connection to your device-management tools. Hosting Snipe-IT does not install an inventory agent on your computers.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
