1. Open your pod and sign in with the initial account details shown in the pod’s setup instructions.
2. Change the initial password and rename the administrator account in the user-management area under Settings > Admin Tools.
3. Create a workspace or folder, then add your first rich-text note, Markdown note or task list.

No. PikaPods sets up and runs Poznote for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Yes. Open your pod URL in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You can install the web app through Chrome or Edge, or use Safari’s Share > Add to Home Screen on iPhone and iPad; see Applications.

After an online sign-in, supported notes kept in that browser can be read and edited offline, then synchronized when you reconnect. This is not an unlimited offline copy of every attachment or note type. Offline notes are stored unencrypted in the browser; see the offline guide and limits.

Ordinary note-taking does not require an AI account or a paid Poznote add-on. The optional AI assistant needs a separately configured model service; cloud providers require your own API credentials and may charge for usage. The assistant can send note contents to that provider, so review its privacy terms. No local model server is included or assumed reachable from your pod. See the AI assistant guide.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use Poznote instead of Evernote and Notion. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

Both give you notebooks or folders, tags, search, attachments and task lists. Evernote adds its own apps, web clipping and AI tools, with plans setting the limits. Poznote stays in the browser on your pod, with workspaces and portable exports. It isn't an encrypted vault, so read the answer below if that matters.

Do not treat it as one. Poznote stores rich-text and Markdown notes as HTML and Markdown files on the server, and its offline browser copies are explicitly unencrypted. Use sharing links deliberately and sign out on shared devices. See note formats and offline storage.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
