1. Click Open Pod in PikaPods and sign in with your Mautic administrator account.
2. Open Settings > Configuration > Email Settings and enter your sender details and email transport settings.
3. Create or import your own contact and a test Segment, then create an Email.
4. Use Send example to check delivery, then build a simple Campaign and test it before publishing.

No. PikaPods sets up and runs Mautic for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Yes. Mautic is managed through its web interface, so open your pod URL in a modern browser on your computer, tablet or phone. No PikaPods-specific client is needed. Contacts can open your emails, forms and landing pages without Mautic accounts.

To send email, connect an SMTP or other supported email service and configure its credentials in Mautic. SMS requires a provider such as Twilio, including your own account and sending number or messaging service. Provider usage charges and any required registration are separate from PikaPods.

Optional CRM, social and other integrations need their own accounts and credentials, and some services may charge separately. See the email settings and Twilio setup guide for the connection requirements.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use Mautic instead of HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

Both offer campaigns, contact segments, forms and landing pages. HubSpot is a hosted suite with its own CRM and sales tools, and it delivers email for you. Mautic focuses on marketing automation, sends through email and SMS providers you configure, and connects to other systems through integrations and its API. Expect to spend more time on setup, in return for keeping your marketing data in your own instance.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
