It suits a personal collection of ideas, instructions and reference material when you want to write and search without managing folders or notebooks, and you can move the files to another editor whenever you like.

Write in a visual editor or work directly with Markdown, link notes with wikilinks, and find them using full-text search and tags. The web interface adapts to smaller screens, and a REST API is available for scripts. Its scope is deliberately small: it is built around one login rather than team accounts, has no folders or native phone app, and the project aims to stay simple rather than add features.
