WeKan Hosting

1. Open your pod and choose Sign Up. Register your own username, email address and password; upstream WeKan makes the first registered user the administrator.
2. Sign in and create a board. Add lists for your workflow, then create and move your first cards.
3. Review registration and board visibility in the administration and board settings before inviting others or adding sensitive work.

See the account-creation guide for registration and adding other users.

No. PikaPods sets up and runs WeKan for you, including OS and app updates and HTTPS. You won't touch Docker or a server. Your files and database stay accessible if you ever want to move them elsewhere.

Yes: open your pod URL in a browser. The web-app instructions cover adding your own server to the home screen on iOS and Android, or installing it as an app in a supported desktop browser. WeKan's store apps are web wrappers for its own public service, not a requirement for your pod; use your pod's URL rather than signing into the public WeKan server. A home-screen icon does not mean your hosted boards are available offline.

You do not need an upstream WeKan SaaS account or paid feature subscription to use your own board server. Upstream documents that normal board use works without outgoing email. Email invitations, notifications and password recovery need working mail configuration and an email provider, which may charge separately; arrange mail delivery before relying on those workflows.

Set up incremental backups to S3 in your pod settings for automatic nightly snapshots, or download your files and database yourself. We keep whole-server backups for server failures, but they aren't a per-pod restore service, so your own backup is what protects your data.

You can use WeKan instead of Trello and Asana. PikaPods runs it for you, and you can move your files and database elsewhere.

Both organize work on boards with lists, cards, checklists and labels. Trello is a hosted product with many integrations. WeKan adds swimlanes and built-in rules, and stays on your pod. On a phone you use your pod's browser or web app, so compare that against Trello's native apps if mobile matters to you.

No. You add prepaid credit and your pods are billed by the hour from that balance, rounded up to full hours. There are no contracts or minimum terms: delete a pod anytime and billing stops. Optional automatic top-ups keep your pods running without manual payments.

You do. And you're in full control. If you ever want to download, migrate, edit or delete your data, just enable file and database access for your pod and it will be right there.
